The first Gerald Charles watch to bear a hardstone dial

Lapis Lazuli: Mr. Genta’s personal favourite stone

Creating the Maestro’s lapis lazuli dial is a meticulous process that reveals the hidden beauty of the stone. Each dial begins as a 5mm disc, carefully cut and polished down to a delicate 0.55mm, with most discarded due to natural imperfections. Shaping the dial to fit the Maestro’s signature asymmetric silhouette demands exceptional skill, as the fragile stone is ground, not cut, to achieve Maestro' s case unique shape.
