Oval-shaped mechanical watch

The Renaissance line celebrates the contemporary glamour with a delicate design line and three-dimensional dials.

As the first watch produced by Gerald Charles, at the eve of the Third Millennium, its name is evocative, with a double meaning. First, it recalls the Italian Renaissance of arts and beauty that this watch carries in its luxury details. Second, it celebrates the artistic rebirth of its creator, the world-class designer Mr. Gerald Charles Genta. It was his decision to name “Renaissance” the first of his new collections, creating a strong bond between him and his artistic creation.

The Renaissance models, carry a historic value as they played a key role in the success of the brand Gerald Charles, almost twenty years ago. Such models, are still not easy to understand yet are set to enter in the books of watchmaking history.

The Renaissance Black is an oval-shaped mechanical watch. The case is in polished stainless steel; well-rounded from all angles with a domed sapphire crystal.

The dial is lacquer in Black. The tapisserie of squares is guilloché; to reflect light in all directions, giving a three-dimensional effect. Time is displayed with a minute counter ranging from 00 to 60, enriched with 12 diamonds on the hours; it is an original design by Mr. Gerald Charles Genta and inspired from vintage cars speedometers.
