The Maestro Original Time ref. GC20-DLC-00 undergoes a complex coating process with Diamond Like Carbon, known by the acronym of DLC. Similar DLC treatments are applied in high-end engineering to drastically improve performance and durability of supersport motorcycles or Formula 1 racecars.
The value of such coating accrues from its unique ability to provide some of the properties of diamond to the stainless steel, Maestro case, surface. Improved hardness, reduced friction and wear resistance are three main achievements of Gerald Charles DLC coating. This exclusive treatment is performed at no compromise, 100% in Switzerland, with state-of-the-art technology and machinery.

Original Time
The result is a hard-wearing, extremely comfortable timepiece. On a case diameter of 40mm and water-resistant to 100 meters. Ergonomics and wearability are excellent.
The Gerald Charles production of this DLC coated edition is limited to 100 pieces. In the “00” version, the watch dial features a black background with coral paint details and a sunburst finishing for optimized light reflection. The hands and apply indexes are enriched by SuperLuminova paint that is luminescent in the dark.

Original Time
The Gerald Charles strap features a double-face decoration with pyramids on one side and GC logo’s tappisserie on the other. This is also an original design by Mr. Genta for the Swiss Maison. The strap material is a technical vulcanized rubber, chosen by the Maison to guarantee superior water resistance, strength, durability and comfort on wrist.
